Interested in accessing ESSA dollars for your school’s music program? Check out this new webinar from the NAfME Public Policy Team!

The “2018 Back To School -Title IV Webinar” is the latest installment of the public policy team’s advocacy webinar series. These quarterly webinars are presented live so NAfME members can ask questions to the public policy staff in real time. All advocacy webinars are recorded and archived so you can watch when it’s convenient for you!

As you gear up for the new school year, you can view this archived webinar to learn more about increased funding for the Title IV block grant – and how it can benefit your music program. Once you’ve watched the video, you can also complete a short quiz to receive recognition for one hour of professional development.

The webinar addresses the important details surrounding Title IV-A funding, including:

  • A brief overview of ESSA – the federal education law under which Title IV is found.
  • Recent Title IV funding history with details on how the money can be used
  • How the funds get to your district – and how you can be involved
  • Examples of music educators who have successfully acquired Title IV funds

Also in the webinar, our public policy staff answer some of the most frequently asked questions surrounding Title IV, as well as questions posed by live viewers.
